:o HEY MEMBERS OF CASS CO> ABATE
I can't help but notice that the same 4 to a half dozen of us show up at the monthly meetings. If there are over a hundred of us(members) from Cass Co. this isn't a very good showing. Meeting are fun, informative and not far from home. Abate helps protect your rights as a motorcyclist, provides needed funds for Many charities and is a great excuse to gather once a month and see friends you sometimes don't get a chance to see in your normal daily activities.
A couple of us sat after yesterdays trying to come up with a list of who we knew were Abate members. Older age setting in the memory cells didn't produce a very long list. Help fix this and come to next months meeting, support your local chapter, let us see your face and jog my memory a little as to who cares about their rights to Freedom of the road. Remember it's the last Saturday of the month at Mcgoverns Tavern 4:00pm in Royal Center. ABATE is more than just the Boogie and a Poker run or 2 a year. Come have some fun and sit in on a bull session after the meeting, find out what everyone has been up to!

Some acted like they can't learn how to use these things.....that is bull.......no excuses for saying that they can't learn how to help themselves to the freedom of information that is right here with a couple of hundred dollar machine hooked up to the internet. Hell, you can get a cell phone now to receive emails and surf the web. Like I said, you can use it, or you can lose it. ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO LEARN HOW TO USE A COMPUTER CAN GO TO YOUR LIBRARY AND GET A BOOK, AND, SURELY, SOMEBODY THERE WILL SHOW THEM HOW TO LOG ONTO A HOTMAIL ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE EMAILS, ETC. THERE ARE COURSES AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS, ON THE WEB, AND THERE ARE YOUR FRIENDS WHO ALREADY USE THEM. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHOW ANYBODY HOW TO GET STARTED, AS I AM SURE SOME OF THE OTHER ABATE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO USE THESE MACHINES WOULD. FOR SOME OF US, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO GET INFO OUT TO THOSE WHO NEED TO BE INFORMED, EDUCATION, NOT LEGISLATION IS OUR MOTTO, SO WHO WILL BE THE NEXT "NEWBIE" TO GET www-ed? RP 574-702-0702

As you read this, you are getting something that no generation before has gotten. For us to call somebody on the phone, or mail a letter or flyer, time is of the essence of un-time. WE NEED TO START TO USE THIS THING, WE NEED TO TELL OTHERS OF ITS NEED, WE NEED TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE NOT INTO COMPUTERS TO TRY TO GET INTO COMPUTERS. THE EASE OF LEARNING THESE THINGS IS NOT EASY, BUT IT IS BECOMING A NECESSITY IF WE ARE GOING TO IMPROVE OUR LOT IN THE BIKER RIGHTS MOVEMENT. THE ABILITIES I HAVE DEVELOPED ARE NOT GREAT, JUST SUFFICIENT TO GET BY, BUT I INTEND TO LEARN A WHOLE LOT MORE AS TIME PERMITS. BEFORE MY SON GOT KILLED IN 2002, I DIDN'T KNOW SQUAT. HE DID ALL OF IT FOR ME, IF I NEEDED TO DO ANYTHING. I ONLY KNEW HOW TO READ MY EMAILS. I HAD TO GET INTO THIS TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT MY SON AND HIS FRIENDS WHO WERE OUT THERE AND DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE HAD HAD A WRECK AND PASSED AWAY. I LEARNED IN SORT OF A LEFT HANDED WAY, LEARNED ALL THAT I COULD TO KEEP THIS THING FROM OVERWHELMING ME, AND LEARNED A FEW NEW WAYS TO CUSS ALONG THE WAY. IT HAS BEEN AN AMAZING JOURNEY.....FOR A COUPLE OF HUNDRED DOLLARS YOU CAN PLUG AN ELECTRIC GUITAR INTO AN INTERFACE, PUT IN A SOFTWARE CD, AND MAKE ANY ELECTRIC GUITAR SOUND LIKE ANY GUITAR OR AMP SYSTEM MADE. I AM LOOKING NOW AT SOFT-WARE TO MAKE A CD ALBUM OF ALL OF MY SONGS. WHO WOULDA KNEW? I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE, AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, THE COMPUTER IS ONE OF, OR COULD BE ONE OF, OUR SHARPEST WEAPONS IN OUR BIKER RIGHTS MOVEMENT.......WE GOT TO USE IT OR GET BEAT DOWN BY NOT USING IT.
